This book is a gem. Here are my key take aways (**spoiler alert**):
- There are four types of work, project, internal, changes and unplanned.
- Theory of constraints – there are a small number of resources, whether it’s men, machines, or materials, that dictates the output of entire system and called as a constraint or a bottleneck.
- A current technical debt leads to compounding unplanned future work.
- Improving daily work is more important than doing daily work.
- Three Ways: 1/ Controlling the flow of work from development to IT operations, 2/ creating constant feedback loops from IT operations back into development and 3/ create a culture that reinforces the value of taking risks and learning from failure
