Self learning – Quantum Computing – Part 1

After bombarded with quantum supremacy news articles on the internet, I got curious about the quantum computing/technology and its future. Being a technology person, I always wanted to keep myself updated with the latest technology and always on quest for future proofing my career. As part of this process, I started doing some self learning on the Quantum Computing (QC).

There might be lot of people who would like to do the same but gets deviated or being offered with lot of paths or material to start with (which I’m already experiencing). So, I wanted to start a series of blog posts on my learning path. I would try to keep this as no nonsense series. So, let’s dive!!

The first set of questions that will popup when starting QC are:

  • What is quantum computing?
  • How can I learn?
  • Where should I start?
  • What are the pre-requisites?
  • How can I buy a quantum computer?

for that matter these questions would be same when starting to learn any new stuff 🙂

After going through good number of youtube videos, medium articles and books, I shortlisted the best ones which will attempt to answer the above questions:

  1. Schrödinger’s cat: A thought experiment in quantum mechanics
  2. How Does a Quantum Computer Work?
  3. Quantum Computers Explained – Limits of Human Technology
  4. Hello Quantum: Taking your first steps into quantum computation

In the next part, I’ll try to put together some pre-requite tutorials that would help diving deeper.
